About Destrehan Plantation

Destrehan Plantation was established in 1787 and it remains today to preserve its historical value and the memories of the enslaved women and men who built it.

There are many tours to enjoy at this plantation, that show how things used to be on the Mississippi River before and after the Civil War.

Choose between Plantation tours, Combo tours, exhibits, and Group tours, which all include folk-life demonstrations. For the bravest, you might enjoy the Nightly Haunted Plantation Tour.

You could also spend the night at one of its beautifully restored cottages!
