Since its doors opened in 2003, House of Dance & Feathers has welcomed visitors to celebrate New Orleans Mardi Grass Indian culture.
The owner and curator of this unique place has made only so many Mardi Grass costumes that he didn’t know what to do with the artwork, the feathers, and the memorabilia. He explains he moved it all to the shed and the children in the community were the ones who called it a museum.
Enjoy the Social Aid & Pleasure Clubs, Skull and Bone gangs, Babydolls and Indians parades that make this museum one of a kind.
