About Louisiana FIRST LEGO League

Louisiana FIRST LEGO League based in New Orleans is the perfect way to introduce science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to kids ages 4-14. Children will be learning through fun, exciting hands-on programs that will provide them with real-world problem-solving experiences.
The FIRST LEGO League program has three divisions in which students will experiment with coding, critical thinking, design skills through hands-on robotics and STEM learning:

The FIRST LEGO League Challenge is all about friendly competition for students ages 9-14 years old. The program focuses on research, problem-solving, engineering, coding, and even building and programming a LEGO robot!

In FIRST LEGO League EXPLORE (formerly known as FIRST LEGO League Junior), students aged 6-10 delve into the basics of engineering by investigating real-world problems and learning to design, and code using LEGO bricks and the LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 system.

FIRST LEGO League DISCOVER, designed for children aged 4-6, is an engaging introductory STEM program that sparks their natural curiosity and nurtures their learning habits through hands-on activities both in the classroom and at home using LEGO® DUPLO® bricks.
