About Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience

At the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience, families will learn about the many ways that Jews in the American South influenced and were influenced by the distinct cultural heritage of their new homes.

The museum features exhibits, collections and programs for all ages that are focused on the history of Southern Jews. Visitors will learn about history and will develop a new understanding and appreciation for identity, diversity, and acceptance.

Both permanent and traveling exhibitions will allow visitors to explore the diverse relationships, experiences, and environments encountered by Jewish communities in the American South from the Colonial era to today.
