About The Presbytère

The Presbytère was built in 1791 and became a part of the Louisiana State Museum in 1911.

It currently has two permanent exhibits: Mardi Grass and The Living with Hurricanes. These exhibits intend to show two sides of Louisiana’s history, its celebrations, and its resilience too.

This museum also offers educational programs for students and families, such as Field Trips, Lesson Plans, and Scavenger Hunts.

If you’d like to rent this amazing venue for any special occasion, you can make a reservation on Presbytère’s official website.
